Prices of some other older models, such as the iPhone 14 and 15, have also risen by as much as VND1 million, as reported by Dan Tri newspaper.
Retailers said they mostly raised prices in line with their suppliers and also because of a change in Apple’s pricing policy.

Apple’s iPhone 16 lineup, including the standard, Pro and Pro Max models, has been available since last September. While the series does not feature major design changes, it stands out for its compact design and some upgrades to its camera and battery.
The iPhone 16, in particular, was recently named by Counterpoint Research as the world’s top-selling smartphone in July-September for the third straight quarter, according to its Global Handset Model Sales Tracker.
It accounted for 4% of global smartphone sales while the 16 Pro ranked second, immediately followed by the 16 Pro Max and the 16e, which was launched this February.
The iPhone 17 series debuted this September and, as with previous launches, its Pro Max model has emerged as the top choice among Vietnamese buyers.
Retailers have said the 17 Pro Max is the highest-grossing iPhone model with most customers choosing the 256GB or 512GB versions.
Although it was only launched three months ago, the model has already placed 10th in Counterpoint’s global sales ranking.
