Elon Musk, the world’s richest man and father of 14, allegedly told influencer Ashley St. Clair, who claims to have his child, that he fathered a Japanese pop star’s baby and would donate sperm.

St. Clair said Musk made the comments directly to her, telling the New York Post: "He made it seem like it was just his altruism, and he genuinely believed these people should just have children."

Musk, 52, the world’s richest man with a net worth of US$410.8 billion, is known to have 14 children with four women, though the actual number may be higher, according to sources cited by The Wall Street Journal.

His first child, Nevada Alexander, was born in 2002 with then-wife, Canadian author Justine Wilson, but died at 10 weeks old. The couple later had twins Vivian and Griffin, and triplets Kai, Saxon, and Damian, according to People magazine.

In 2020, Musk and musician Grimes welcomed their son X Æ A-12. The former couple later had two more children: daughter Exa Dark Sideræl and son Techno Mechanicus.

Around the time of his second child with Grimes, Musk also fathered twins Strider and Azure with Neuralink executive Shivon Zilis in November 2021, according to Business Insider. The pair welcomed another daughter, Arcadia, in February 2024.

In February 2025, St. Clair, 26, made headlines when she announced the birth of a son with Musk. She has since filed a lawsuit seeking sole custody of the child, named Romulus, accusing Musk of avoiding contact and failing to provide consistent parenting.

Zilis later revealed she and Musk had a fourth child, a son named Seldon Lycurgus, though the exact birth date has not been disclosed.

Musk, who previously led the Trump administration’s Department of Government Efficiency, has reportedly expressed a desire to father a "legion-level" number of children to combat declining birth rates. The Tesla CEO referred to his children as a "legion," a term used to describe a Roman military unit made up of thousands of soldiers.

"To reach legion-level before the apocalypse, we will need to use surrogates," Musk allegedly texted St. Clair during her pregnancy.
