It follows Anker's announcement recently that it was pulling more than 1.15 million PowerCore 10000 power banks in the U.S. The company continues to face significant issues in China, where additional models have been flagged for similar risks.
Last week Anker, based in Changsha, the capital of the central Hunan province, expanded its recall policy to include seven models, citing "safety risks."
Other accessory brands have also made recalls in China, like the 33W power bank with integrated cable and the 6000 mAh magnetic power bank by Xiaomi, the Pac20Pro 20W, Pac20 and WMS10Q-491 wireless charging base by Romoss, the PB511 30W power bank by Ugreen, and the 20,000 mAh wireless charging power bank by Aukey.

Shenzhen-based Romoss has recalled nearly half a million units across three models due to battery cell issues following warnings from several universities in Beijing urging students to stop using Romoss power banks after reports of explosions, the South China Morning Post reported.
Though the recall policies are currently limited to the U.S. and China, the affected models are available in Vietnam through cross-border e-commerce platforms and local retailers.
Van Tinh, a technician at a mobile repair service in HCMC, advised users in Vietnam who own any of the affected power banks to cease using them immediately. He recommended storing them in a plastic box in a safe, visible area away from heat sources and waiting for further instructions from manufacturers.
