The nation's contingent includes Tran Quyet Chien, Vietnam's best cueist, listed seventh on the world's elite top 10 list by the Union Mondiale de Billiard (UMB). The 35-year-old from Ca Mau Province is seventh seed at the tournament.
Nguyen Duc Anh Chien, Vietnam's rising star, who became the first Vietnamese cueist to finish runner-up at the World Championships in Denmark to surge from 57th to 17th in global rankings, will also take part in the event.
The Vietnamese cueists will go up against tough opponents from around the world, including Holland’s Dick Jaspers, Italy's Marco Zanetti and Sweden's Torbjorn Blomdahl, UMB’s top three players in the world.
