SEA Games Day 2: Vietnam wins 10 gold medals in athletics, gymnastics, martial arts and swimming

Vietnamese competitors won 10 more gold medals on the second official competition day of the 33rd SEA Games on Thursday in athletics, karate, taekwondo, ju jit-su, gymnastics and swimming.

Vietnam also won four silver medals on Thursday in athletics, gymnastics, judo and canoeing; as well as nine bronze in athletics, canoeing, taekwondo, and swimming.

Thursday victories raised Vietnam's medal tally at the tournament to 40, including 14 gold medals.

Vietnam are standing second in the medal ranking, after hosts Thailand who have won 71 medals including 37 gold.
