Miss Universe Vietnam 2022 runner-up to join DNSE Aquaman Vietnam 2023

Tien is expected to inspire other participants with her personal journey of persistent training to pursue her universal beauty contest dream and overcome body insecurity. She will also actively engage in various activities at the race-kit distribution area.

Tien's journey to her current healthy appearance was not without its challenges. She used to experience stigma and discrimination for her 90 kg body. But after a year and a half of training, playing sports, and following a diet rich in green vegetables, she managed to lose over 30 kg.

She continues to stay in shape by playing sports and exercising daily. By participating in the DNSE Aquaman Vietnam 2023 and other races, she aims to promote a healthy lifestyle to the community.

Tien, born in 1998, went to the Foreign Trade University. She reached the top 10 in Miss Vietnam 2018.

The second Aquaman Vietnam tournament will take place on October 29 at NovaWorld Phan Thiet, attracting 1,500 athletes. The event will feature four distances: Aquakid, designed for children aged 6 to 10, with a 200m swim and 1km run; Sprint Aqua, with a 500m swim and 5km run; Half Aqua, with a 1km swim and 10km run; and the longest distance, Aquaman, with a 2km swim and 21km run.

Aquaman is the only event that offers both individual and relay competitions. Tickets are available for all distances at this link.

DNSE Aquaman Vietnam is the first swim-run aquathlon in Vietnam. Last year, the tournament took place in Sa Vi, Tra Co District, Quang Ninh province, and attracted 1,000 participants.
