Under the 30 C sun, Vietnam controlled the match from the outset, with coach Mai Duc Chung’s side maintaining consistent pressure and converting opportunities into a decisive win befitting defending champions.
Early chances came for Vietnam, including a free kick from Nguyen Thi Bich Thuy and one-on-one attempts by Pham Hai Yen, though Indonesia’s defense managed to clear the ball.
The breakthrough arrived in the 27th minute when Thai Thi Thao’s long-range shot led to a handball by Indonesian defender Yumanda Gea. Thuy converted the resulting penalty into the opening goal.
Vietnam continued to dominate in the second half. A fumbled back pass by Indonesia allowed Yen to score in the 49th minute. She later completed a brace in the 58th minute, assisted by Tran Thi Thu.

Indonesia substituted goalkeeper Iris de Rouw, bringing in 15-year-old Alleana Ayu Arumy.
The Vietnamese team extended their lead in the 80th minute from a corner kick by Tran Thi Duyen, with Thuy heading the ball into the net.
Huynh Nhu sealed the 5-0 win in the 86th minute, marking her 70th goal for the national team.
The victory sets up a final against the winner of the other semi-final between Thailand and the Philippines on Dec. 17.
With this win, Vietnam continue their strong record in regional competitions and take another step toward defending their SEA Games title.
