Top luxury car owners in Vietnamese football

Vietnamese football stars, with their lucrative income, did not hesitate to splash out on luxury rides.

Here is a look at the country's flashiest footballers on four wheels.

Dang Van Lam (Phu Dong Ninh Binh FC)

National team goalkeeper Van Lam frequently drives his wife Yen Xuan around in a Porsche Cayenne S Coupe, which he purchased at the end of 2024 for over VND7 billion ($273,000).

Before that, he owned a Volkswagen Viloran valued at around VND2 billion ($78,000). Earlier in 2024, the goalkeeper also bought his parents an SUV worth over VND1 billion.

Bui Hoang Viet Anh (Cong An Ha Noi)

Just before joining the national team's training camp in South Korea ahead of the 2024 ASEAN Cup, Viet Anh rewarded himself with a Porsche Cayenne Coupe valued at about VND5.8 billion ($226,000).

A month earlier, the Cong An Ha Noi (CAHN) defender also gifted his parents a Ford Titanium 4x4 worth around VND1.6 billion.

Nguyen Van Quyet (Hanoi FC)

In March, Van Quyet brought his son Van Quan to a Hanoi showroom to pick up a brand-new Toyota Land Cruiser Prado 2024.

After selling his old 2012 Range Rover Sport, the striker spent over VND4 billion ($156,000) on the new SUV, factoring in additional costs due to high global demand.

Que Ngoc Hai (Becamex Binh Duong)

Ngoc Hai was the first Vietnamese national team player to own a Porsche.

In April 2022, he bought a white 2022 Porsche Macan for VND3.7 billion ($144,000). He later spent VND500 million more for premium upgrades including 18-way electric seats, sport rims and an upgraded exhaust system.

Doan Van Hau (CAHN)

In February 2023, Van Hau added a black Porsche Macan to his garage, worth over VND5 billion ($195,000).

This was his second car, after buying a Mercedes-Benz for VND2.4 billion back in 2020.

Vu Van Thanh (CAHN)

In July 2023, Van Thanh purchased a used Porsche Macan S, with a price of around VND4 billion. The car was acquired through a Ho Chi Minh City showroom.

A month later, it was involved in a minor accident with a traffic light pole, though Van Thanh clarified that he was not behind the wheel at the time.
