Guinness World Records has recognized Cristiano Ronaldo's UR · Cristiano as the YouTube channel with the most subscribers gained in 24 hours.

The organization said on its website on Tuesday that Ronaldo's "domination of social media has continued" with his YouTube channel reaching 19,729,827 subscribers in one day. The number was exclusively revealed to Guinness World Records this week.

UR · Cristiano was created on Aug. 7, but the account was only made public after the first video was posted on Aug. 21.

After less than a week, the channel has surpassed 50 million subscribers. The Al Nassr star has uploaded 22 videos and garnered more than 280 million views. The most popular video on the channel attracted 45 million views, which showed Ronaldo receiving the YouTube gold button. The gold button is a certification that YouTube gives to channels with over one million subscribers.

According to WikiTubia, a site specializing in YouTube records, the launch of the UR · Cristiano is stirring up the platform with a series of records. This is the YouTube channel that reached 100,000 subscribers fastest - in 22 minutes; one million subscribers fastest, in 47 minutes, and 10 million subscribers in 11 hours and 31 minutes. The channel that reached 10 million subscribers fastest before Ronaldo was Hamster Kombat after 7 days.

In football, the Portuguese superstar set a Guinness World Record for the most goals scored by a male player in international football matches in 2021, with 111.

In addition, Ronaldo also owns a series of records including: First player to score 100 goals in the UEFA Champions League; most appearances in the UEFA Champions League with 183; most hat-tricks in the UEFA Champions League with eight, equal to Lionel Messi; most goals in the Euros with 14; first male player to score in five different World Cups; and longest gap between appearances in the Premier League with 12 years and 118 days.
