Cristiano Ronaldo pays 25% more than the average wage to recruit staff for his worldwide hotel chain.

According to La Sexta, Ronaldo's hotel chain is recruiting staff with an average salary after tax of about US$2,500 per month and 50 days of leave per year. This is much higher than the average salary in Spain's hotel industry of about $550 and 20 days of leave.

To be recruited by Ronaldo's hotel chain, candidates must have extensive experience in the hotel industry and be fluent in multiple languages.

Ronaldo currently owns seven hotels under the Pestana CR7 brand, with locations in Lisbon and Funchal (Portugal), Madrid (Spain), New York (U.S.), and Marrakech (Morocco). Beyond the hotel business, the 39-year-old football star also founded Insparya, a hair transplant clinic in Madrid. He also further diversified his ventures with a line of men's fashion, including underwear and shoes.

According to CNW, Ronaldo's net worth is estimated at around $1 billion. His contract with Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr, which runs from January 2023 to June 2025, brings in approximately $200 million annually, including salary, bonuses and promotional obligations. Additionally, Ronaldo earns about $150 million per year from endorsements and business contracts. Both of those income streams are before tax.

Ronaldo is one of the most decorated footballers in history, boasting an illustrious career that includes the Euro 2016 title, five Champions League titles and five Ballon d'Or. He is the most prolific scorer in history with 905 career goals, including 140 in the Champions League, a record of the tournament.

The Portuguese superstar also has a massive social media following, with 613 million followers on Instagram, 170 million on Facebook, 113 million on X and 64 million on YouTube.
