In his latest YouTube video, Cristiano Ronaldo mimicked Lionel Messi's viral moment when he scolded Dutch striker Wout Weghorst at the 2022 World Cup.

During the video called "The 7 questions I always wanted to ask Georgina", uploaded on Tuesday, Ronaldo's partner Georgina Rodriguez jokingly called him a "bobo," a Spanish term for fool. Seizing the moment, Ronaldo, echoed Messi's famous words "qué miras bobo" with a grin.

"Qué miras bobo", which means "what are you looking at, fool", is a phrase that became famous after the usually calm-mannered Messi directed it at Dutch player Weghorst during a tense post-match interview at the 2022 World Cup quarterfinals.

The camera captured Weghorst trying to explain to the Argentina players, including Sergio Augero, Lautaro Martinez and Lisandro Martinez, that he only wanted to shake Messi's hand but was brushed off.

In an interview in January 2023, Messi admitted to regretting his reaction after the match against the Netherlands in the World Cup. The former Barcelona star said: "I don't like what I did. Those moments were tense and uncomfortable. I acted on my emotions and everything happened very quickly. I don't want to create that kind of image, but it happened."

Ronaldo's imitation of Messi quickly went viral on social media. "Ronaldo is a fan of Messi," one user wrote on X.

"Let's see when Ronaldo can lift the World Cup like Messi," another commented.

Many people also want the Argentine star to appear in a video with Ronaldo on his YouTube channel.

Ronaldo launched his YouTube channel called UR · Cristiano on Aug. 21 and quickly set a series of records. He promised to post more videos about his personal life and family. The Portuguese star also left open the possibility of getting guest appearances in his videos.

As of Thursday, UR · Cristiano channel has garnered more than 57 million subscribers. In the next two years, the 39-year-old striker aims to surpass MrBeast, the YouTube channel with the largest number of subscribers with 312 million.
