Liverpool have emerged as the biggest spenders so far, shelling out over £250 million ($338.8 million) to bring in a host of new players, including Florian Wirtz, Hugo Ekitike, Milos Kerkez and Jeremie Frimpong. Wirtz and Ekitike are among the top five most expensive contracts in the Premier League this summer, according to Transfermarkt.

The club recently made a move for the talented center-back Giovanni Leoni from Parma for more than £30 million.

Trailing Liverpool in spending are Manchester United. After a disappointing last season, the Red Devils invested nearly £200 million in three new attackers: Matheus Cunha (£62.5 million), Benjamin Sesko (£73 million), and Bryan Mbeumo (£71 million), giving manager Ruben Amorim a total makeover of the attacking line. United are also targeting Brighton midfielder Carlos Baleba, valued at no less than £100 million.

Chelsea have also been active in strengthening their squad, bringing in strikers Liam Delap (£30 million) and Joao Pedro (£60 million), along with wingers Jamie Gittens (£48.5 million) and Estevao (£29 million). With these new signings, The Blues continue their strategy of targeting promising young talent.

Arsenal, meanwhile, secured the striker they had long pursued, Viktor Gyokeres, for £63.5 million. The Gunners also bolstered their midfield with the addition of Martin Zubimendi (£55 million) from Real Sociedad and Christian Norgaard (£11 million) from Brentford. They also spent £5 million on Kepa from Chelsea as a backup goalkeeper and Cristhian Mosquera from Valencia for £16.5 million.

Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur round out the top six, spending £153 million and £127 million respectively during the summer transfer window.
