Nasraoui was attacked by a group of men with knives at around 9:10 p.m. on Wednesday, Madrid time, while walking his dog near his home in the coastal town of Mataro.
Spanish newspaper 20Minutos reported that Yamal's father was stabbed more than once and was taken to hospital in a serious condition, but his life was not in danger. He was discharged that night to be with his family.
Catalan police have arrested three people in connection with the attack, but have not yet announced their motive. Nasraoui is reported to have been defenseless in the incident.
Nasraoui lives in the Rocafonda Ward in Mataro, 40 minutes up the coast from Barcelona, with his wife and their children, including Lamine Yamal. Yamal often makes a 304 sign when he celebrates a goal. These are the last three digits of the postal code of Rocafonda.
Yamal, 17, grew up in Rocafonda and joined Barcelona's youth academy La Masia in 2014, and has been with the club ever since. He is the youngest player ever to participate in the Euros and also won the Best Young Player of the Euro 2024 with Spain winning the title.
According to Diario AS, Nasraoui is a 32-year-old building painter, while his wife Sheila Ebana is a waitress.
