In a recent interview with Marca, the Portuguese football legend addressed years of speculation about his relationship with Rodriguez, saying that while marriage is certain, it will happen only when the timing "feels absolutely right."

"It will happen. 1,000%," Ronaldo said. "But I'm waiting for the perfect moment, what I call 'the click'."

Ronaldo, 40, and Rodriguez, 29, have been together since 2016. Over the years, they have built a happy life with a growing family, international fame and successful careers. Ronaldo is one of football's all-time greats and Rodriguez as a model and social media influencer.

The couple have been the subject of countless rumors about secret engagements and wedding plans. Ronaldo has even referred to Rodriguez as his "wife" in past interviews, but both have denied any formal marriage.

In the interview, Ronaldo made it clear that marriage, for him, is more than a social formality. He emphasized that he wants the moment to happen naturally, without pressure, expectations or deadlines.

For now, both are focused on their individual careers and shared responsibilities. Ronaldo is currently playing for Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia, while Rodriguez continues to thrive as an influencer and fashionista.

Ronaldo remains one of the most celebrated athletes in the world. Known for his discipline, longevity and relentless pursuit of excellence regardless of hardships, he has won five Ballon d'Ors, five Champions League, national championships in every European league he’s played in and the Euro 2016 title with Portugal.

He also holds the record as the top international goal scorer of all time, with 136 goals for the national team.

Together with Rodriguez, Ronaldo is raising five children, two with Georgina and three from previous relationships. The family have been living in Saudi Arabia since Ronaldo joined Al Nassr in early 2023.
