Five young talents have been excluded from the official AFF Cup list of 30 players announced by Park Hang-seo on Tuesday.

The players that didn't make the list are midfielder Ly Cong Hoang Anh, striker Ho Thanh Minh, right-back Le Van Do, forward Pham Tuan Hai and goalkeeper Pham Van Cuong. One surprise was Minh, who scored the only goal that helped Vietnam win 1-0 against Myanmar on November 2 and qualify for U23 Asian Cup next year.

Among the 30 players, there are some key ones that won AFF Cup 2018 like captain Que Ngoc Hai, defenders Bui Tien Dung, Do Duy Manh and Tran Dinh Trong, midfielders Nguyen Quang Hai, Do Hung Dung, Luong Xuan Truong and Pham Duc Huy, forwards Nguyen Tien Linh and Nguyen Cong Phuong.

Vietnam are training in Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province to prepare for the tournamanet. The team will travel to Singapore on Dec. 1.

AFF Cup will take place from Dec. 5 to Jan. 1. Vietnam are in group B with Laos, Malaysia, Indonesia and Cambodia.

Thailand are the team with most titles (five), followed by Singapore with four. Vietnam have won the title twice, in 2008 and 2018.
