South Korean celebrities visit Phu Quoc for Lunar New Year

Soobin and Beomgyu of K-pop boy band Tomorrow X Together enjoyed a vacation on southern Vietnam's Phu Quoc Island for the Lunar New Year holiday.

On Tuesday, Soobin posted a series of photos taken on Phu Quoc for his 8 million Instagram followers with the caption "Happy Vietnam trip."

Beomgyu also wrote on his Instagram, which has 3.1 million followers, "A trip to Vietnam with my best friend!"

They enjoyed the sea at night and visited the local aquarium, as well as other tourist attractions on the island.

The boy band consists of five members Yeonjun, Soobin, Beomgyu, Taehyun, and HueningKai.

Tomorrow X Together was the first Korean boy band to perform and headline at Lollapalooza, one of the biggest music festivals in the U.S.

Born in 2000, Soobin is a singer-songwriter and MC under Big Hit Music. He is considered the leader of Tomorrow X Together.

Born in 2001, Beomgyu is a South Korean singer-songwriter and producer under Big Hit Music.

Phu Quoc welcomed an estimated 44,000 international visitors during the seven-day Tet break, recording an increase of nearly sixfold year-on-year.

The influx of foreign tourists helped Phu Quoc’s tourism revenues reach over VND1.1 trillion (US$44.7 million), according to the Kien Giang Department of Tourism.

Last year, many Asian celebrities took their families to visit the island.
