The free bicycle rental service will last for a year as part of Singaporean authorities' latest efforts to boost air passengers' experience at Changi Airport, the airport said on its website.
Passengers will also need to have a valid entry visa for Singapore and clear immigration to be eligible for the service.
Passengers can cycle to explore some local tourist attractions near the airport such as the Bedok Jetty, a popular fishing spot, the East Coast Lagoon Hawker Center and nearby residential neighborhoods such as Bedok and Siglap.
Pay-per-use shower facilities and an alfresco café and bar are available at the bicycle return point allowing passengers to refresh and recharge.
The Changi airport in Singapore is famous for its butterfly garden, movie theater, and swimming pool and was named the world's best airport by aviation ranking website Skytrax in March.
Last April, the airport also allowed transit passengers with a layover of at least 5.5 but less than 24 hours to embark on free tours of the city-state as the airport resumed the service after a three-year hiatus.
Before the start of the pandemic, Changi Airport was the world’s seventh busiest in terms of international passenger traffic, managing a record 68.3 million passenger movements in 2019.
