Visiting the tropical forest at Changi Airport, enjoying food at Geylang or cycling amid nature are some activities one should not miss while in Singapore for Taylor Swift concerts in early March.

Taylor Swift's chartered flight touched down in Singapore at 5:05 p.m. on Feb. 27 ahead of her first concert at the National Stadium on March 2. The pop star is set to perform six sell-out shows in Singapore during her only stop in Southeast Asia.

Here are some tourist experiences recommended to Swifties during their stay in Singapore, before and after the show.

Tropical forest in Jewel Changi Airport

13 years ago, Taylor Swift arrived at Changi Airport and was impressed to see a forest right in the middle of the arrival hall of Terminal 3.

Now, Jewel Changi is a nature-themed entertainment and retail complex surrounded by and linked to one of the passenger terminals of Changi Airport.

Its centerpiece is the world's tallest indoor waterfall - the Rain Vortex - that is surrounded by the Shiseido Forest Valley with 2,500 tall trees and 100,000 shrubs of all kinds that help regulate the air.

A BeJeweled music night will take place from 7:30 p.m. on March 1 at Jewel's Shiseido Jungle Valley and feature Taylor Swift's hits such as "Love Story", "You Belong with Me", "Blank Space" and "Bejeweled."

Fans can buy souvenirs at Blindgoldrush shop at 30 Haji Lane that sells keychains, wallets and gadgets, inspired by Taylor Swift songs.

The store has a photo-taking area with backdrops based on the female singer's famous studio albums such as "Speak Now" or "Lover." It is open from noon to 8 p.m., or 10 p.m. (depending on the day of the week), with prices costing from SGD8-30 (US$6-22).

Late-night food at Geylang

Geylang is about 7-10 minutes by taxi from the Naitional Stadium, known as the "late night capital" with many restaurants open until morning.

No Signboard Seafood Geylang or Lor 9 Beef Kway Teow are recommended by Singapore Tourism Board. Visitors can enjoy chili crab, stir-fried vegetables with oyster sauce, and stir-fried beef noodles with prices from SGD10.

In addition, visitors can visit hidden bars such as Mama Diam, which recreates the space of mama shops, popular family department stores in Singapore in the 1980s - 2000s.

Lou Shang is located in the same building as Mama Diam but upstairs. Lou Shang's space design is inspired by old apartment buildings, built decades ago. During the day, Lou Shang is a coffee shop, but transforms into a bar after 5 p.m.

Cycling to explore nature

Visitors can consider unique experiences such as exploring nature by bicycle at Chestnut Nature Park. This is Singapore's largest natural park with many types of terrain such as steep roads, rocky roads, and muddy roads. In addition, visitors can visit the Circular Island Road (RIR), a 150 km long route connecting parks on the island.

Taylor Swift’s fans can also sign up for unique tours such as Discovering Singapore Cuisine from Local to Table (Market-to-Table Culinary Experience) for SGD129 per person to discover the richness and intersection of Chinese - Malay - Indian cuisine in Singapore.

Besides, a vintage Vespa tour with a sidecar will take visitors along the old streets of Singapore. Currently, Singapore Sidecars has many itineraries such as exploring the Joo-Chiat & Katongneighborhoods, Kampong Glam and the Civic District, TiongBahru neighborhood to admire famous murals. Tour prices cost from SGD198.
