Three cruise ships of U.S.-based Celebrity Cruises will carry 7,500 foreign tourists to Vietnam from now until the end of this month.

The Malta-flagged Celebrity Solstice carrying 2,700 passengers of American, British and Canadian nationalities is scheduled to dock at Phu My Port in the southern province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau, home to the popular beach city Vung Tau, on Friday.

The ship will bring the tourists to visit Nha Trang on Saturday before leaving for Hue on Sunday and Ha Long on Monday, Voice of Vietnam reported.

The cruise will continue bringing 2,700 foreigners including Americans and Britons to Ha Long, Hue and Vung Tau from Nov. 18-22.

On Nov. 26, the Malta-flagged Celebrity Millennium is scheduled to dock at Hue in central Vietnam, with 2,100 passengers onboard.

A representative of leading tour operator Saigontourist, which serves the cruise ships, said the company will continue receiving multiple international cruise ships from major firms such as Silversea Cruises and Crystal Cruises during the last months of the year.

A series of luxury cruise ships carrying thousands of international visitors have docked at Vietnamese ports since the beginning of this year as tourism gradually picks up steam.

Vietnam has received 10 million foreign arrivals so far and is expected to welcome 13 million by the end of this year.
