HCMC most searched destination in Vietnam in Asia-Pacific: Booking.com

HCMC has been the most searched tourist destination in Vietnam in the Asia-Pacific this year, followed by Da Nang and Hanoi, data from Dutch online travel agency Booking.com shows.

The Central Highlands city of Da Lat was fourth, followed by Nha Trang and Vung Tau, according to search data between Jan. 1 and March 31.

Also in the list are Phu Quoc, Hoi An, Hue, and Mui Ne.

In the first two months of this year Australia was the biggest source of tourists in the Asia-Pacific region for Vietnam with nearly 98,000 arrivals, followed by Malaysia, Cambodia, and Thailand.

Before the pandemic Malaysia had topped the list in the Asia-Pacific region.

According to Booking.com., Vietnam is among the three most searched destinations in South Korea, the top five for Japanese and top 10 for Indians.

Last year South Korea, Japan and India were Vietnam’s biggest sources of visitors.
