Hanoi surpasses Singapore on list of best-wifi airports

Noi Bai, one of Vietnam's busiest airports, scored an average rating of 4.15 out of five stars, according to a survey by India-based tech reviews website Electronics Hub, which analyzed "wifi connectivity" star ratings from travelers on Airlinequality.com (Skytrax).

Changi Airport ranked eighth with an average rating of 4 and Seoul Incheon Airport at 13th with rating of 3.74.

Ljubljana Airport in Slovenia had the best airport wifi in the world, scoring an average rating of 4.46 out of five stars. It was renovated in 2021 and offers free wifi throughout.

"Excellent to have unlimited free wifi without login required, always reliable right up to boarding tunnel," raves one traveler.

Hong Kong Airport came in second, followed by Helsinki Vantaa Airport in Finland, and Tokyo Haneda Airport and Tokyo Narita Airport in Japan.

In February, Noi Bai International Airport surpassed Changi Airport to become the world's best for business travelers with an average rating of 6.8 out of 10, as compiled by British finance research and information website BusinessFinancing.co.uk.

Noi Bai has a capacity of 25 million passengers a year.

In recent years, the government has improved the quality of its services, managing to reduce waiting times in the process.
