Vietnamese Australian found dead in Central Highlands forest

An Australian national of Vietnamese origin was found dead next to a stream in a forest of the Central Highlands' Lam Dong Province.

Police of Bao Loc District on Saturday cooperated with local authorities to inspect the scene where the body of the man, reported to be 70 years old, was found next to a stream in Loc Tan Commune, Vietnam News Agency reported. The man lived in Australia and has relatives in Bao Loc.

The man had been traveling to several Vietnamese localities. Before his death, he was staying in a hotel in Bao Loc.

An investigation is ongoing.
