According to a document issued by the government office on Wednesday, the chairman of the Bac Ninh People’s Committee has been tasked with verifying whether or not the director of the provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development Dang Tran Trung and his vice director Dang Cong Huong have been playing golf during working hours 2-3 days a week as recently alleged.
The document directs the Bac Ninh chairman to "strictly deal" with potential violations, and to report back on the matter to Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh before Nov. 30.
A representative of the Bac Ninh People’s Committee said the province has not received reports from the agricultural department verify the accusations.
