It will be built between Khanh Vinh District in Khanh Hoa, home to Nha Trang, and Bac Ai District in Ninh Thuan, renowned for its Cham civilization relics and culture and beautiful sand dunes.
The nine-meter wide, two-lane highway will pass through Lam Dong, home to Da Lat Town.
Of the cost, VND1 trillion will come from the government and the rest from the three provinces.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh recently instructed the Ministry of Planning and Investment to quickly finalize the investment procedures for the construction for submission to the National Assembly for approval.
If the approval comes soon construction will start early next year and be completed in three years.
Once built, it will ease traffic on Provincial Road No.9, currently the only highway between Ninh Thuan and Lam Dong.
It will require 129 hectares of land, including 37 ha of farmland and seven hectares of residential lands. At least 211 families will have to be relocated.
