The boy, just 34 months old, was rushed to the province’s children’s hospital Nov. 7 in the state of shock, suffering severe blood loss with many wounds on his face after he was attacked by a dog in his neighborhood.
The attack left the boy with a torn scalp that exposed his skull and a severe eye injury.
After nearly two weeks of treatment, he was discharged Friday from the hospital in stable condition but several sequelae and large scars.

Public opinion has been divided on the matter of muzzling dogs in public places, with those not owning dogs requesting dog owners to have their pets muzzled every time they are taken or let out of the house as a safety measure.
