PM Pham Minh Chinh to visit Cambodia

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh will pay a week-long (November 8-13) official visit to Cambodia from on invitation from his Cambodian counterpart Hun Sen.

During his visit, Chinh would attend the 40th and 41st ASEAN Summits as also other related conferences from November 10-13.

This will be Chinh's first official visit to Cambodia as prime minister, and also the first visit of a high-ranking Vietnamese leader to Cambodia during the Vietnam-Cambodia Friendship Year 2022.

The visit is happening in the context of a friendly and neighborly relationship, as well as comprehensive and stable cooperation between the two countries that will continue to develop, foreign ministry spokeswoman Le Thi Thu Hang said at a press meet Thursday.

Chinh will also hold talks with PM Hun Sen, participate in the Vietnam-Cambodia trade and investment promotion forum and meet with other high-ranking leaders of the neighboring country.

U.S. President Joe Biden will also come to Cambodia to attend the annual ASEAN summits, the White House announced last week.
