Cold front to drop HCMC temperatures to 21 C before Christmas

Temperatures in Ho Chi Minh City are forecast to drop to 21-22 degrees Celsius this week as a strong cold wave moves southward from northern Vietnam.

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the new cold wave is expected to reach Vietnam on Thursday, bringing cooler conditions to HCMC.

Early morning and nighttime temperatures in the city will dip to 21-22 degrees Celsius from Thursday through the weekend, while daytime temperatures will hover between 26-30 degrees Celsius.

American weather service AccuWeather provides similar predictions for the city.

In Hanoi, temperatures are expected to range from 20-22 degrees Celsius during the day through the weekend, with colder conditions of 13-14 degrees Celsius early in the morning and late at night.
