A low-pressure area coming from the west this weekend is expected to put an end to the mist, drizzles and high humidity affecting the northern region in recent days.

Since February 2 the region has been seeing characteristic weather for this time of the year with mist and slight rain at night and in the morning.

Clothes have been taking longer to dry due to high humidity and low temperatures, which have also been causing condensation on floors, walls and household objects.

This is due to cool moisture-laden air coming from the sea.

Until Friday the region will continue to see drizzles and dampness, but from Saturday to Monday the low-pressure area will result in sunshine from noon onwards.

In Hanoi, temperatures at the time will range from 17 to 27 degrees Celsius. Places in higher altitudes like Sa Pa will see temperatures of 10-23 degrees until the weekend.

The dampness will return on February 14, and could last until March.
