Car perched 20 m high in building as driver smashes into wall

While backing a car to a parking position on the fourth floor of an apartment building in HCMC, a woman hit the wall, broke it and the car almost fell to the ground

The woman, who lives at Tropic Garden apartment building in Thao Dien Ward, Thu Duc City, returned home on Tuesday night and drove her four-seater car to the parking area on the fourth floor of the building.

While backing the car into a parking spot, she crashed and broke the wall that was 1.5 m high, leaving the vehicle perched atop 20 m from the ground.

Pieces of the wall fell and damaged the canopy of a house on the first floor.

Nobody was in the immediate area when the accident happened, so there were no injuries.

The driver said she mistook the accelerator for the brake.
