VN-Index continues to rise

Vietnam’s benchmark VN-Index rose 0.24% to 1,151.77 points Tuesday.

The index closed 2.75 points higher after gaining 10.95 points on Monday.

Trading on the Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (HoSE) increased by 3.94% percent to VND19.14 trillion.

The VN-30 basket, comprising the 30 largest capped stocks, saw 17 tickers gain.

MWG of electronics retail chain Mobile World rose 2.2%, while CTG of lender VietinBank up 2.02%.

Meanwhile, HPG of steelmaker Hoa Phat Group dropped 1.44%, and NVL of property developer Novaland Group lost 1.34%.

Foreign investors were net sellers to the tune of VND126.83 billion ($5.35 million).

The HNX-Index at the Hanoi Stock Exchange, where mid and small caps list, was up 0.37% while the UPCoM-Index at the Unlisted Public Companies Market was up by 0.69%.
