Saigon Jewelry Company gold bar price fell 0.13% to VND78 million ($3,200.13) per tael Monday morning.

Gold ring price was unchanged at VND64.4 million per tael. A tael equals 37.5 grams or 1.2 ounces.

Globally, gold prices edged lower on Monday, as the dollar and Treasury yields jumped after a blowout U.S. jobs report dashed hopes for early interest rate cuts from the Federal Reserve, Reuters reported.

Spot gold fell 0.1% to $2,036.96 per ounce.

U.S. gold futures were flat at $2,053.50 per ounce.
