Gasoline prices on Wednesday rose to the highest since September last year.

The popular fuel RON95 went up 1.65% to VND25,230 ($0.99) per liter. Biofuel E5 RON92 rose 1.59% to VND24,230.

Diesel dropped 0.79% to VND21,440.

Vietnamese regulators said that fuel prices this week were affected by rising tension in the Middle East, ongoing military conflict between Russia and Ukraine, and increasing inventory in the U.S.

Gasoline rose 1.6% to $108 per barrel while diesel fell by 1.5% to $106 since last Thursday.
