The U.S. dollar rose against the Vietnamese dong on the black market Saturday morning.

Unofficial exchange points sold the greenback at VND25,760, up 0.35%.

Vietcombank kept the dollar stable at VND25,473.

The State Bank of Vietnam maintained its reference rate at VND24,260.

The dollar has gained 4.31% over the dong since the beginning of the year.

Globally the dollar fell 0.2% against the Swiss franc to 0.91 franc Friday. It dropped as low as 0.9011 franc overnight, a roughly two-week low, following news of Israel's move, Reuters reported.

Against the yen, the dollar was last slightly down at 154.57 yen. The greenback slid as low as 153.59 yen after Israel's news.
