The U.S. dollar rose against the Vietnamese dong on the black market Monday morning.

Unofficial exchange points sold the greenback at VND24,800, up 0.32% from Sunday.

Vietcombank kept it unchanged at VND24,400.

The State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) kept its reference rate stable at VND23,895.

The dollar has increased against the dong by 2.82% since the beginning of the year.

The U.S. dollar dipped to a near five-month low on Friday ahead of the long holiday weekend. The U.S. market is closed Monday for the Christmas holiday.
