On Aug. 11, she posted photos on Instagram showcasing the dress she wore during her performance, which garnered millions of interactions. The 36-year-old performed in the gown before 80,000 fans at Messe München as part of her "Adele In Munich" concert series, running from Aug. 2-31.
The gown showcases a boat neckline with a deep plunge, a cinched waist, and an A-line skirt, crafted to create an hourglass silhouette while providing ease of movement. Cong Tri shared that his design was inspired by the familiar elements of his hometown, Da Nang City.

"The gentle rhythm of waves crashes against the shore, endlessly and infinitely. When the moon rises, the foam sparkles on the surface of the sea, reflecting the starry night sky—at that moment, the sea and night merge into one with the jet-black color, creating a mystical symphony," Tri told VnExpress.
He elaborated that this concept was brought to life using high-quality velvet, adorned with Swarovski crystals, beads, sequins, and other precious stones. The dress took 500 hours to complete, featuring a skirt embellished with circular patterns to mimic ocean currents and a bodice resembling a glittering night sky. The side and back trains were made wider than the original design to ensure Adele stood out on the large stage.
The designer was delighted that Adele selected his creation alongside those of Dior, Valentino, and Schiaparelli. This collaboration is their third since February of last year. For this occasion, Tri crafted a custom mannequin using Adele's measurements to guarantee a perfect fit without needing a fitting session.
Adele, 36, is one of the best-selling music artists of all time, with over 100 million records sold worldwide. She was named one of the best-selling artists of the 2010s in the U.S. and the world, as well as the best-selling female artist of the 21st century in the U.K. . Adele has won 16 Grammy Awards, an Academy Award, a Golden Globe and an Emmy.
Tri, born in Da Nang in 1978, is a member of the Asian Fashion Association. He has created dresses for many A-list celebrities such as Beyonce, Miley Cyrus, Jennifer Lopez, Charlize Theron, former U.S. First Lady Michelle Obama, Rose of Blackpink, and Rebecca Ferguson.
