A video of a kitten acting like a human baby as its Vietnamese owner teaches his son how to bathe a baby has gone viral globally.

In the two-minute video, the kitten, Lac Lac, enjoys being cradled by the man as he uses it to show his son how to bathe a newborn.

The kitten is cooperative as the man demonstrates his technique with a lot of details.

He can be heard saying: "Wash his body and armpits. You can wash his face later."

Netizens are impressed by the cat. On Weibo, China’s biggest social network, the keywords "dummy cat" and "cat assistant" have been searched for tens of millions of times.

British newspaper Dailystar headlined the cat, calling him "adorable."

On Reddit, Instagram and TikTok, the video has been watched by millions of users.

One Instagrammer commented: "I have never seen such a good 'stuntman' as this. He is so professional. It seems he had this many times before, he should go to Hollywood."

A Weibo user said: "The grandfather is so good when showing how to bathe the baby. But I cannot focus on his demonstration because the cat is so adorable, I want to hug him. I have never seen such a good 'baby' like this."

According to Pham Quang Vinh, the owner, the kitten was named Lac Lac because Vinh's family found him on the street and decided to adopt him (Lac means "lost" in English). The family also has two other cats, all of them equally well-behaved.

Lac Lac is calm in the video perhaps because he is used to being held and cradled, Vinh added.
