The incident took place around 10 p.m. on Sept. 17, when neighbors, hearing Arom’s desperate cries for help, alerted rescue workers and police from Phra Samut Chedi Police Station, Khaosod English reported.
Upon arriving at the scene, authorities had to break down the door to her room, where they found Arom weakened, with pale hands and feet, as a python, over 4 meters long and weighing at least 20kg, was tightly coiled around her. It took the rescuers more than 30 minutes to free her from the snake before it escaped into the nearby forest.
Arom was treated for exhaustion and a bite on her right thigh before being rushed to a hospital for further medical attention, according to The Straits Times.

Describing the ordeal, Arom explained that it began around 8:30 p.m. while she was washing dishes behind her room. She felt a sharp pain in her thigh, initially believing it was caused by a water monitor.
When she looked down, she saw the large python. As she grabbed its head, the snake coiled tightly around her, knocking her to the ground. Despite struggling for more than two hours, she couldn’t break free.
She continued to shout for help until nearby residents heard her and called the police. "I’ve never experienced anything like this in my life," Arom said.
