Dream Music Production’s growing brand, Urban Fu$e (UF), an international music collective of which Suzanna Lam is the bandleader, has released a new song called "Scarred Dreamer."

The latest song was released at the end of August. It opened with the sounds of the hip-hop rap genre, but from there, listeners can hear the sound of a viola, and from hip-hop, the sound becomes pop, through rock, then through classical epic music to finish.

Dream Music Production is an indie music label. Suzanna Lam, now living in the U.S., is the bandleader. She comes from a Vietnamese musical family. Her grandparents played in a band in the 40's, and her uncles also performed music in the 80's and 90's among the overseas Vietnamese community. She developed musical talent when she was a child. She now writes music in both English and Vietnamese.

According to Suzanna, UF always focuses on five important health issues, called SPEMM, which stands for "Spiritual, Physical, Emotional, Mental, Money". The songs that are composed by the band also follow that motto.

UF fans not only have fun with wonderful moments enjoying UF's music but also use the songs as food for thought.

Suzanna said that in the music market, there are many choices for consumers and music lovers when they need to listen to music, improve their thinking, or learn English. Photo courtesy of Suzanna

"Right now, they actually have to go to several different sources to get those, but it would be great if UF fans could do them all at the same time," Suzanna said.

For the past 5 years, UF has always wanted to contribute to the world's music treasure and share knowledge through hip-hop rap music mixed with pop, rock, or classical.

In this era, audiences need entertainment that is not only healthy but also thought-enhancing. That is also the genre UF focuses on, Suzanna said.

Aside from "Scarred Dreamer", the band has also released a children song called "Space Daydream," which was composed by Suzanna and another member, James Grover.

The idea for the song came from Suzanna's 8-year-old son, who was interested in learning about the planets. She promised him that she would write a song for him to listen to every night before going to sleep.

According to Suzanna, artistic endeavors often require side jobs to cover costs, which might cause them mental, emotional, financial, and physical harm because of the overtime work.

She thought that it was essential to face pains and challenges to achieve success.

"The band's peak is the love and support of the audience, as they can see themselves through their music. After this song, we guarantee to bring surprises to fans, especially those who like to dance," Suzanna said.
