Walk Freely is the name of the summer collection created by La Van Trung Hieu in collaboration with Juno, a leading accessory brand in Vietnam.
The designs are inspired by the famous paintings of Dutch artist Piet Mondrian, in the style of geometric abstraction, something the artist called "neoclassicism".

"I thought of Mondrian’s artwork as soon as I got a trend report for this year that primary colors are making a comeback. I also wanted to pay homage to an artist who created masterpieces and whose aesthetic philosophy complements Juno’s message perfectly," Hieu said in a recent video commercial.
Knowing of the collection, the Netherlands Consul General to HCMC, Carel Richter made a visit to personally view the creations. "The designs are very interesting. They give an alternative look to the historical patterns, combining them with modern details", he said.

Through the slogan Walk Freely, the brand wants to encourage young women to be confident in themselves and what they have, to walk freely on their own paths in primary colors. As the Dutch artist had proclaimed: "The more basic the color, the more inward, the more pure."

"The Netherlands stands for equality for all regardless of gender, sexual preference, race or culture. Walk freely is a theme well chosen, it does not only inspire Vietnamese society to guarantee equal rights for women but also supports the so much needed freedoms of other disadvantaged groups", Carel added.
The consul general also thanked Juno and designer La Van Trung Hieu for making Dutch art popular in Vietnam.
Nearly 6,000 items have been sold within the first month of the collection being introduced.
