According to Nate, Jeon’s management agency Hodu & U Entertainment revealed on Monday: "Actress Jeon Hye Jin has recently committed to the television drama "Riding Life," set to premiere next year."

The agency expressed high hopes and support for her as she returns to acting.

This signifies Jeon’s initial venture back into acting since the loss of her husband in December of the previous year, during which she was also dealing with a spinal injury and mental health challenges.

Lee, aged 48 and renowned for his performance in the Oscar-winning film "Parasite," was discovered deceased on Dec. 27, 2023 in a suicide.

At the time of his passing, the actor was being investigated by police for suspected drug use and had been interrogated for 19 hours just days prior. He had allegedly stated during these sessions that he had been duped into taking drugs.

Reports indicate that despite Lee’s request for a private final police interview, he was exposed to the public eye by the media during his last visit to the police station, which fueled speculative media coverage and rumors concerning his alleged drug use.

Jeon, 48, competed in the 1997 Miss Korea pageant.

The couple married in 2009 and have two sons.
