Citing QQ, Znews reported that Yeung’s appearance at the concert became a talking point after Sabrina Ho, daughter of the late casino mogul Stanley Ho, shared a thank-you post on her social media. Ho explained that she had accidentally lost her phone during the event but was able to retrieve it thanks to the security team, which included Yeung.
"I think the chance of finding an iPhone in a venue with 50,000 people, especially after the event, is really slim," Ho wrote in her Instagram post. "It’s truly impressive how efficient they were in their role as security at this concert!"
The incident quickly went viral, with several posts about the actor circulating across online platforms. Many concertgoers also praised Yeung for his helpfulness, and Yeung’s popularity skyrocketed. The actor himself admitted to being surprised by how quickly he had become an "internet celebrity."
Yeung, 50, first gained recognition in 1996 when he won the 15th Global Chinese New Talent Singing Championship in New York. Later that year, he returned to Hong Kong and joined TVB as a contracted actor. He previously collaborated with Nicholas Tse in the 2000 TV series "Aiming High."
Tse, 45, began his entertainment career as a singer in 1996 and made his acting debut two years later. His concert series, held from April 24 to 27, marked his return to the stage after a 25-year hiatus, according to the South China Morning Post.
Tse’s current girlfriend, Hong Kong diva Faye Wong, and his two sons with actress Cecilia Cheung were spotted in the audience.
