Chinese actress Wu Jinyan, famed for her role in the hit series Story of Yanxi Palace, recently appeared on set with what seemed to be a baby bump, though she has not confirmed any pregnancy.

According to Znews, citing Sinchew, Wu was on set filming her latest project, "Those Flowers", where she took time to interact with fans. In a fan-recorded clip, the actress drew attention for her visible bump.

Wu was dressed in a loose, lacy sweater, white shorts, and flat shoes, but fans zeroed in on her midsection, with comments like, "She's definitely pregnant," and "That looks like at least six months along."

Earlier, at a press event for her new film "Kill Me Love Me", she wore a loose black dress, yet the bump was still visible from certain angles. She even wore high heels and performed a whip stunt, prompting netizens to express concerns about her safety.

Some fans encouraged her to pause work if she is pregnant, with one user questioning: "Why not take a break if she’s expecting?" and another noting: "Heels seem risky during pregnancy." Meanwhile, others supported her commitment, commenting: "What’s wrong with being dedicated to her job?" and, "Each pregnancy is unique; let her enjoy work if she feels up to it."

In September, she surprised fans by announcing her marriage to co-star Hong Yao, who she had been secretly dating. Amid concerns about Hong’s past scandals, screenwriter Yu Zheng reassured fans that the marriage was thoughtfully planned after a long relationship, according to The Strait Times.

Wu, now 34, became a household name for her role as Wei Yingluo in "Story of Yanxi Palace", a period drama set in the Qing dynasty, where she plays a palace maid who rises to become the emperor’s favored concubine.
