According to The Straits Times, Kim revealed her pregnancy through an Instagram video that captured her birthday and gender reveal party. This event was held on a yacht cruising along Bangkok’s Chao Phraya River and included a grand fireworks display.

In the video, Kim appears in a white cropped T-shirt and gray sweatpants. She is seen caressing her baby bump and looking upwards as drones display various messages and images in the sky. One notable image was a dragon, representing the current Chinese zodiac year.

Though not sharing the identity of the child’s father, the billionaire heiress disclosed that she is five months pregnant, having undergone several rounds of in-vitro fertilization.

Kim’s gender reveal was planned by luxury events planner Lelian Chew and was attended by local influencer JianHao Tan and his wife Debbie Soon. According to Channel News Asia, Chew described the event as the "world’s biggest and Asia’s first drone gender reveal."

She also expressed her solidarity with single mothers, acknowledging the challenges they face.

"My heart especially goes out to all the single mothers out there," she wrote. "The struggle is real, and it’s okay to feel overwhelmed."

As part of her support for new mothers, Kim announced that she would distribute vouchers to those giving birth through January 2025. Each recipient can receive up to four vouchers, which together total a maximum of S$988 (US$746), redeemable for products and treatments from her brands Illumia and Papilla.

Additionally, single mothers can also claim a baby care kit, which includes baby wet wipes, diapers, and milk powder.

Kim, 33, has a seven-year-old son named Kyden from her first marriage to the 34-year-old Kho Bin Kai, whom she married in 2017 and divorced in 2020.

She remarried businessman Leslie Leow in 2022, but the marriage ended just two months after the wedding. Since then, she has embraced her role as a single mother.

As of August 8, Forbes has listed her father Peter Lim’s net worth at US$1.8 billion, ranking him as the 23rd richest person in Singapore according to its list of the country’s 50 wealthiest individuals.
