The Miss Universe 2025 finale took place in the morning, and the post announcing the top five finalists on Facebook garnered over 63,000 angry reactions out of a total of more than 96,000 reactions by the afternoon.

Within less than an hour of the post congratulating Bosch, it received 51,000 reactions, including 34,000 "haha" and 13,000 "angry" reactions. The wave of anger carried over to posts published on Wednesday.

Under the posts, many Facebook users expressed dissatisfaction with the final placements: first runner-up Thailand, second runner-up Venezuela, third runner-up Philippines, and fourth runner-up Ivory Coast.

"What really shook me was the placement of Ivory Coast," read one comment, which received over 1,500 likes in five hours. "She gave such a great and precise answer, I thought she was going to win."

Another comment echoed the pageant's celebratory caption, writing: "What ‘the owner’ has destined for you, no envy can stop it, no fate can undo it, and no luck can change it."

The original caption from the Miss Universe Organization read: "What God has destined for you, no envy can stop it, no fate can undo it, and no luck can change it."

Many commenters also likened the pageant finale to a "cooking show."

Bosch’s victory followed a public clash with pageant executive Nawat Itsaragrisil, who had criticized her for not sharing promotional content about Thailand during the early rounds of this year’s competition.
