Ettoday reports that Hoshino’s management agency Amuse issued a statement on Thursday denying the claims of his infidelity and declared its intention to take legal action against those disseminating the false allegations. Aragaki subsequently shared this statement to her social media account, demonstrating her support for her husband and assuring her followers of the strength of their marriage.
Speculation regarding Hoshino’s unfaithfulness emerged the day before, sourced from claims that Hoshino was involved romantically with Hayashida Risa, an announcer for the Japanese public broadcaster NHK. It was alleged that Hoshino’s management had disbursed 100 million yen (US$636,760) to suppress evidence of his extramarital affair.
As the rumors gained traction online, the music education show co-hosted by Hayashida and Hoshino was deleted from NHK’s online platform.
Hayashida has yet to make a statement about these allegations.
Aragaki, 36, made her acting debut in 2005 and rapidly gained celebrity status. She has repeatedly been voted as the most desired girlfriend and the most desired female celebrity face in the annual Oricon survey.
The actress and Hoshino, 43, first met in 2016 while co-starring in the TV series "We Married as a Job." They married in 2021.
