The Straits Times reported that as seen in videos posted on the Chinese social media platform Xiaohongshu, Wong, 55, was spotted among the audience of her 27-year-old daughter Leah’s performance on Nov. 30. The diva was seen waving lightsticks from her seat in the audience, visibly excited as she cheered for her daughter.

When Leah asked the crowd for a photo, Wong enthusiastically raised her hands but shyly crouched down after the audience called out her name.

Leah also gave a heartfelt shout-out to her mother during the show and performed a cover of Wong’s hit "You’re Happy, So I’m Happy" as part of her set.

According to 8days, the song is from the first album Wong released after giving birth to Leah in 1997 and is widely considered a dedication to her daughter.

Social media users quickly pointed out the similarities between Leah’s vocal style and her mother’s, with many commenting that Leah had inherited Wong’s signature dreamy, ethereal voice. One netizen humorously remarked that Leah’s voice was "very filial," as it closely resembled Wong’s tone.

Leah is Wong’s daughter from her first marriage to Chinese rocker Dou Wei, which began in 1996 and ended in 1999.

Wong has another daughter, 18-year-old Li Yan, from her second marriage to Chinese actor Li Yapeng, which ended in 2013 after eight years.

Since 2014, Wong has rekindled her romance with Hong Kong actor Nicholas Tse, whom she first dated in the early 2000s.

Known for hits such as "Red Beans" and "Eyes On Me"—the theme song for the video game Final Fantasy VIII—Wong remains one of the most influential voices in Mandopop. She also performed the Cantonese version of "The Cranberries’ Dreams," which was featured in the 1994 Wong Kar-wai film "Chungking Express."

Leah’s Out of The Loop tour will make its next stop at Singapore’s Marina Bay Sands on Jan. 18, 2025, marking her first performance in the city-state.
