In a recent Instagram post, Laurinda, 33, shared the trailer for the film, giving her fans a first look at her debut acting project. According to Dimsum Daily, the film casts her in the role of Sandy, a 20-year-old woman living in Macau. She described the experience of portraying Sandy as both "odd and endearing," adding that she enjoyed the challenge of stepping into a character so different from her real-life persona.

"I’m so excited to share my very first film with you all," Laurinda wrote in the post, encouraging her followers to support the film when it hits theaters.

Laurinda’s portrayal of a 20-year-old has attracted significant attention. Many netizens have remarked on how well the casting decision aligns with her youthful and vibrant image, making her performance as Sandy feel both authentic and engaging.

"Promise of Decades" features a strong cast alongside the casino heiress, including veteran Hong Kong actors Eric Tsang and Bosco Wong.

Laurinda is the daughter of Stanley and his third wife Ina Chan.

Stanley passed away in 2020 at the age of 99. In 2019, Bloomberg estimated his net worth at around US$14.9 billion, ranking him as the 17th wealthiest individual in Asia at the time. Following his death, the majority of his fortune was divided among his daughter Pansy, his fourth wife Angela Leong, and his son Lawrence.

Meanwhile, Forbes estimates 70-year-old Chan’s net worth to be approximately US$1 billion.

Laurinda married Chinese actor Shawn Dou in a lavish ceremony in Bali in April last year, with the event reportedly costing millions of dollars.

Dou, 36, first gained recognition in the acting world for his role in "Under the Hawthorn Tree," directed by Zhang Yimou. His filmography also includes notable titles such as "Dangerous Liaisons," "Time to Love," and "Princess Agents."
