Rosé, a member of the South Korean girl group Blackpink, has signed a solo contract with American label Atlantic Records, marking a step in her solo career.

According to The Straits Times, Atlantic Records, which represents artists such as Bruno Mars, Coldplay, and Ed Sheeran, welcomed Rosé on Sept. 27 by sharing photos of her holding a bouquet of roses on social media, captioned: "Welcome to the family, Rosé."

On the same day, Rosé addressed her fans on Instagram, saying: "I know you’ve all waited so long for this moment, but I hope you’re ready for what’s in store for the next few months. I cannot wait for you all to hear everything, so hang on tight. Miss you all dearly."

Rosé, born Park Chae Young, is a 27-year-old Korean-New Zealand singer. Raised in Australia, she debuted with Blackpink in 2016, alongside Jisoo, Jennie, and Lisa.

While the group renewed its exclusive contract with YG Entertainment in December 2023 for group activities, the members did not extend their individual contracts for solo work.

Jennie signed with American label Columbia Records, and her agency OA Entertainment announced she will release a single in October. Meanwhile, Lisa signed with RCA Records in April for her solo projects in collaboration with her agency Lloud.
