Citing CQ News, Znews reported that a friend of Zhao mentioned that since being hospitalized, Zhao has been actively following the treatment plan prescribed by her doctors.

"She asked me to tell everyone that she is safe and hopes everyone can be reassured," the friend wrote. "She is slowly starting to speak and has begun physical rehabilitation."

This person added that as a friend, she’s not in a position to discuss what happened or the true nature of the actress’ illness. Yet, she didn’t want Zhao to have to explain it herself either.

"I hope someone will step forward to take responsibility and provide a clear explanation," she concluded.

According to conversations between Zhao and the friend, the actress is suffering from aphasia. Zhao has been actively cooperating with the treatment at the hospital and plans to stay for a long-term treatment as advised by her doctors. However, this plan may be adjusted depending on her health condition.

Previously, an entertainment blogger revealed that Zhao had faced many difficulties and pressures during the ongoing filming of "Almost Lover." Despite health issues, she continued filming until she fainted and was rushed to the hospital. The crew’s decision to have her working amid health conditions has angered fans.

On Dec. 27, Zhao’s management team announced that she had experienced health problems a few days ago and was taken to the hospital for examination and was being treated following her doctor’s instructions. The team also announced that the actress will pause all work-related activities to focus on recovering her health.

Zhao, 26, began her acting career in 2017 and has been featured in popular series such as "The Romance of Tiger and Rose," "Dating in the Kitchen," "Love Better Than Immorality," "Love Like the Galaxy," and "Hidden Love."
