Actress Zhang Ziyi’s ex-husband confirms dating 19-year-younger woman

The 53-year-old singer disclosed via a Weibo post on Monday that he met Li Qiao, also known as Sen Lin Bei, in Dec. 2023 while he was in the Chinese autonomous region of Xinjiang. This meeting occurred two months after his separation from Zhang.

Wang described Li, 34, as having "an optimism, a love for life, and a pure soul." He said he and Li began dating four months after their initial encounter.

He added that he decided to make his relationship with Li public, including its timeline, to address and dispel harmful rumors that had been spreading on social media. These rumors escalated after the two were seen having dinner with Wang’s mother and children, sparking claims such as "Zhang Ziyi divorced because Wang Feng had an affair" and "Li Qiao stole Zhang Ziyi’s husband."

In response to these allegations, Wang clarified: "My previous marriage has nothing to do with anyone else."

"I did not meet Li Qiao until after my divorce proceedings were completed," he emphasized. "I hope this world becomes more beautiful and less hurtful."

Wang also extended an apology to Li for the distress caused by these unfounded rumors and announced his intention to sue social media accounts that have posted defamatory and libelous information about them.

Li, a university graduate with a degree in arts, works in the tourism industry in her hometown of Xinjiang, as reported by Sina. She is also divorced and has a daughter.

Wang has achieved significant fame as a rock musician and as a coach on "The Voice of China."

He tied the knot with Zhang, 45, in 2015, marking his third and Zhang’s first marriage.

Zhang gained international acclaim for her role in the 2000 film "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon," which was nominated for 10 Academy Awards. She has also won numerous awards for her role in the 2013 film "The Grandmaster."
